The Glass Knife is located in the heart of Winter Park on S Orlando Ave. As you enter the building, you are able to just walk up to the counter to place your orders. While you are waiting in line to order, you can check out all their goodies in the Lunchbox Line filled with pop tarts, different types of cookies, cakes, chocolate big wheels, and so much more! Once you are done placing your order, they give you a number and you can seat yourself inside or even outside! As you wait you are served with cold water and the beverages you have ordered.

My friend and I decided to order two pastries while we wait for our meals. I selected the New Hand-crafted version of a Strawberry Pop tart made with flaky pastry dough pocket filled with strawberry jam, finished with sweet vanilla icing and sprinkles. Ever since They posted this pop tart on their Instagram, I couldn’t wait to try it! I was not disappointed! The strawberry jam inside was delicious! The fact that it wasn’t made with any processed chemicals like the ones at the grocery store was a huge plus!

My friend decided on a Lemon Lavender cookie, a decadent, lemon sugar cookie with white chocolates, topped with a swirl of luscious, house-made lavender-infused buttercream. Anything made with lemon is a win in my book!

Since it was both our first time eating here, we decided to order two sandwiches and shared one half of each for both of us. We ordered the Roasted Turkey Club Sandwich and BLT Sandwich. The Roasted Turkey Club is made with roasted, sliced turkey breast on Olde Hearth’s fresh-baked pretzel roll topped with aged cheddar cheese, applewood-smoked bacon, vine-ripe tomatoes, arugula, peppercorn aioli and a tangy honey mustard. This was so tasty! All the flavors blended all together perfectly and our pretzel was nice and soft! This sandwich is definitely a must try!

The BLT Sandwich was made with applewood-smoked bacon, crisp bibb lettuce, sliced marinated tomato and avocado layered on garlic-toasted Olde Hearth’s French bread with peppercorn aioli and a dusting of truffle salt. Anything with garlic on it I am sold! I never tried avocado on my BLT and let me tell you something, I was missing out! It was so delicious and our bread was soft on the inside and a bit of a crunch on the edges.

If you haven’t tried out The Glass Knife I highly recommend! From Nostalgic animal crackers, to pop tarts, to oatmeal cream pie, to doughnuts this place is a one stop shop! They are a cash free; smoke free environment and dogs are welcome!
